“The true meaning of the Ronald McDonald house.”

“Words can hardly express the “True” meaning of the Ronald McDonald house. The friendly Staff and volunteers that greet you. Having a home environment in place of a hotel room is comforting. My son’s and I have met a few families and became friends, we have kept contact as well. Being able to share/talk with staff and family members who are staying at the house. This helps when you feel the heaviness of your child sickness or difficult surgeries which comes with a lot of worry and stress. Being able to share our stories with people who were having similar situations as us. Hoping it helped in some way. I have tried to give back in small donation. For the gratitude, we have had during our stay at the Ronald McDonald house.

“There’s no place like home away from home” known as the Ronald McDonald House.

Trudi Mercredi, Melfort, SK

The Ronald McDonald home has a lot of activities during the week, which relieves stress for awhile. The house also has great meal, breakfast, lunches and supper during the week. The volunteers that go to help with baking and cooking. My son’s get play in the game room and use the exercise room and watch movies in the movie room, and also the craft room as well. They also use the computers. The house also provides courtesy rides to and from the hospital. I would like to say “Thank you” for the beautiful stays we had in the past years, and continued stays we have currently.”
